From what I understand of Style Saturday, it’s three fashion or beauty-related things you like? I think that’s what it is?? Idk, but here we go! I’m going to start this off with my three must-haves!
1) Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
Everybody needs a good moisturizer. That’s just life. And if you think your skin is ~too oily~ to need a moisturizer, just stop. Stop and do a quick google search on why, exactly, you should be moisturizing. Here’s one page that tells you about it. Is it a super scientific website? No, but it states the facts.
Quick rant aside, I do have oily skin and have used this moisturizer for years. It keeps my skin feeling nice without making it overly oily. I still have oily skin, but at least it doesn’t feel tight or irritated, which it does if I skip more than a couple days. It’s a bit on the expensive side, but it lasts forever and is well worth the money.
2.) Hair Oil
Right now, I’m using L’Oreal Mythic Oil, but I’m considering changing it up and trying a new one. I had a hairdresser/hairstylist/Idon’tknowtherightterm suggest this to me a couple of years ago and it has been a godsend. This makes it so I can actually comb out my hair without running into a million tangles (although sometimes I still do, but it’s usually when I’ve done something to seriously muss up my hair). I only use it on the ends of my hair, so it doesn’t weigh my hair down or make it look greasy or anything like that. I believe she told me that it slows down the creation of split ends, but I can’t really remember now. I just know that it makes me hair look and feel better and what else can a girl ask for?
My holy grail of lip balm. Y’all may talk about Burt’s Bees and eos and the like, but this stuff is THE. BUSINESS. They are moisturizing, not too sticky or slippery or anything undesirable, and come in a variety of flavours/scents/colours. They come as what she calls smudge sticks, which are salve sticks but they’re tinted. I don’t like them as much, because I haven’t found a colour that I really like yet, but they still feel very nice. I have a lot of them strewn about everywhere – in my purse, in my work purse, on my desk, on my desk at work, in a drawer, and a couple stashed away somewhere. I’m a bit obsessed. You will be too once you try them.
And that was my first Style Saturday! 🙂
