Holes in My Wardrobe

This post is taken pretty much directly from Jessica! I saw her post on items that she’s looking for in her own wardrobe and have been thinking about it ever since. Mine are all short-term goals, as I haven’t evaluated my wardrobe well enough to know what items I should be looking for long-term. I’m not quite that organized.

Plain Shirts

Recently, I’ve begun my search for plain shirts that are good quality. Until now, I’ve always gone for Victoria’s Secret’s plain vee neck shirts, because they are very flattering and soft. But I no longer live in a place where getting those shirts are feasible. Also, the shirts were very, very thin, so I would hope for something a bit sturdier. I recently bought a plain green shirt from Penney’s (Primark) and so far am in love with it. But I doubt it will last very long – for €3.50, I don’t expect much!

Ankle Boots

I bought myself new ankle boots in December while I was back in the States for Christmas. I’m very picky about my boots – no heel (or a very minimal heel), black, pointed toe, only up to my ankle, no fringe, no laces, simple design….a lot of boots do not meet my requirements. However, my old boots are very rundown from my recent travels and a hole has recently begun developing on the side of the boot. This is a bit more of a pressing issue that I will need to fix fairly soon.

Jacket

Now that spring is on its way, I am finding that my winter coat is no longer as comfortable. I simply get too hot. It is also not super waterproof. I am on the hunt for a lightweight, waterproof jacket with a hood. I have not been looking very hard, to be fair, so I’m sure something will show in the near future.

That’s pretty much all I’ve been looking for recently. What about you? Are there holes in your wardrobe that you need to fill?

Or if you know any shops that would be an ideal place to find any of these items, please let me know! πŸ™‚

Cheers!

Technically, this isn’t my outfit today. I actually wore this last Sunday, but I thought it was cute and wanted to share it with you guys!!!

I went to help my friend with his bees last Sunday and so this felt appropriate. πŸ˜›

Style Saturday 15 Aug 15

Today feels like an autumn day, not so much a summer day! It just feels like fall is coming and I couldn’t be more excited! Summer’s not really my season πŸ˜›

  1. Floral Top
This is the floral top that I wore earlier this week. It’s still a bit spring/summery, but still gorgeous enough to wear whenever. (I’ve never been into the idea of only wearing florals during certain seasons. Why??) Also, now that I know how good it looks with a pencil skirt, I’m going to wear it even more now!
  2. Women’s Sleep Jogger Pant from XhilirationThese are sooooooo comfortable!! Just light-weight enough for warm weather, but still warm enough when it gets a bit chilly! Perfect for when the weather is changing!
  3. Smelly Yeti Bee Tsar
This is such a delicious honey and tobacco scent. The honey note is just phenomenal! Really really lovely and delicious! Also, Smelly Yeti is a great name. And who doesn’t want to buy perfume from someone who has a perfume called Broody Guy???

I hope everyone’s week has been good! Are you excited for fall???

I’m not usually one to do Outfits of the Day, but I thought I looked especially cute and really had to share with you guys!

I hope that’s a good enough picture so that you can see the outfit!! It was a bit of a dreary Monday and I felt like looking cute! I hope everyone had a nice Monday!

Off Work Early Today

And it’s a beautiful day out! So I put on an old (but fun) tank I have and suddenly, I’m playing with makeup again! It’s fun to play with bright colours that I don’t get to wear to work! This is also my first look where I’ve successfully incorporated blue eyeshadow. (Blue eyeshadow is a bit intimidating, to be honest.) I sent a selfie to my lovely friend JessicaΒ and she immediately suggested a style post! Not a bad idea, especially since I’ve been so terrible at posting.

In other news, work is slowly becoming less crazy for me, so I’m hoping that means I’ll be able to post more. Hopefully. I have a lot of ideas for posts, but never seem to make the time to write them up. I really should work on that. πŸ˜›

Anyway, on to my style!

Style Saturday 07 Mar 15

Another Style Saturday! My favourite part of the week πŸ˜‰

1) Victoria’s Secret PINK leggings

Oh mannnnn these are so comfortable! They’re soft and just all around wonderful. I have so many pairs and I want more! I wear them all the time! (Usually around the house, but still.)

2) Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes

I got this as a free sample in an ipsy bag and I was pleasantly surprised! While I wouldn’t rate it as my HG mascara, it still performs very well. It gives good volume without giving me spider lashes. I ask a lot out of my mascara in terms of lash definition and this comes close enough to keep me very happy. A very pleasant surprise indeed!

3) Sixteen92’s hand & body lotion

This lotion is pretty much perfect. It’s light, it’s moisturizing, it smells good (no matter what scent you get), it doesn’t cost too much. I’m totally in love with it. I have a jar on my desk at work because I use it ALL. DAY. I have a jar at home, too, for when I need lotion. I should probably also note that I have a hand cream obsession and THIS is my go-to. (One day, I’ll make a massive post all about hand cream because, really, someone should benefit from my knowledge.)

[No picture for this one, sorry!]
